In order to contribute to the protection of human health and the environment, especially for the recovery and disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment, the European Union (E.U) adopted and published the RoHS Directive (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment) (2002/95/EC).
