PRECILAB offers moisture content analysis by Karl Fischer coulometric titration for organic solvents that may have excessive amounts of water associated with them. Many of these solvents are hygroscopic and can become contaminated with trace amounts of water prior to use. Water can react with process organic chemicals and produce unwanted chemical reactions that adversely affect processing and performance. The control of trace water contamination can greatly improve manufacturing process prior to the application of photo resist and post-bake steps are needed to harden and promote resist adhesion to the wafer.
